What's for Dinner Wednesday - 3 Cheese Pasta

Pinterest may be the new cause of obesity in Americans.  You heard it here first!  But seriously, this dish is not for the lactose intolerant or cheese hater. It is rich, cream, and pure comfort.
Actually, if you were to add some marinara to it, you would swear it was lasagna. In fact, I may try that next time. All the flavor without the messy layering. It would be perfect with the garlic knots I made before. This only takes about 10 minutes to prepare and then 30 minutes to cook.  Super simple.


Three-Cheese Pasta Bake pinned from Southern Living


ingredients
  • 1(16-ounce) package ziti
  • 2(10-ounce) containers refrigerated Alfredo sauce
  • 1(8-ounce) container sour cream
  • 1(15-ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/4cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 1/2cups mozzarella cheese
directions
Prepare ziti according to package directions; drain and return to pot.
Stir together Alfredo sauce and sour cream; toss with ziti until evenly coated. Spoon half of mixture into a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish.
Stir together ricotta cheese and next 3 ingredients; spread evenly over pasta mixture in baking dish. Spoon remaining pasta mixture evenly over ricotta cheese layer; sprinkle evenly with mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until bubbly.

Crocheted Adventure Time Fiona Hat

Well, my cosplaying kid asked for another crocheted creation, but I don't watch Adventure Time.  I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, but this was easy enough and I get to share a free pattern with you.  It straps around the chin with a crocheted button and I had the yarn stashed away.  I love projects that use up leftover yarn, don't you?  I started out with  Lilana Wofsey Dohnert's   Finn hat pattern on Ravelry. Start Running!

Many of you have asked me how I got started with running.  Well, let me tell you!  This was no easy task.  My motto used to be "No one should run unless they are being chased."  Seriously.  Not only could I NOT run, I had always been told I would not ever be ABLE to run.  I have what's called physical activity induced asthma.  How is this different?  It means that any type of physical exertion can cause an asthma attack.  Lucky me!  I found this out when I was on the swim team as a child and pretty much sat everything out from there.
