Celebrate Moms

Hopefully all you moms out there had a wonderful day with your families. Although, I'm not sure why we only get one day a year. I spent a wonderful day with my family at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando. We were worried that it would be too hot and crowded, but pleasantly surprised to have little crowds and lots of overcast. It made the day quite nice indeed. We weren't able to see the new baby rhino since he isn't quite ready for the public yet. However, you can see him here . There were plenty of other animals to see and even some other babies. I'm a sucker for baby animals. The campus where I work is home to many ducks and they show off their babies all the time. I hope that all you moms were able to spend time with your brood, whether they are two or four legged.    Happy Mother's Day - celebrate everyday, moms!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Yes, we are all a little bit, Goofy, but we're glad you love us anyway. Thank you, mom, for being a part of my life and for being a part of my girls' lives, too. I love that you have been through everything with them from day one and that they both continue to cherish that relationship. I'm looking forward to many more years of Spring Break trips and Disney getaways!   Love,  Your Favorite Little Princess

Inspiration

Where do you get your inspiration from?  Pinterest has been a huge part of my life lately when looking for inspiration. However, it's not the only place I look.  I purchased a small camera not too long ago so that I could take it with me where ever I go.  That way, when I see something that I like I can take a quick photo.  Instead of buying, I almost always say, "ooh, I can make that!" This way I have something to refer to. People  look at me funny sometimes, but it's quickly forgotten.   During spring break we headed to EPCOT.  I am a huge Disney fan and they have these adorable new "ear" headbands.  So stinking cute!  However, they aren't cheap and I think they would be fun to make. Feathers must be the new trend.  They seem to be everywhere. And Kourey fell in love with these purses. They look like princess skirts, but closed on the bottom and finished off with a zipper. And then we found these little coin purses in China. ...

Mommy/Daughter day

Every year our county gives the K-12 kids the day off to go to the fair.  Which really means, parents don't get to go to work.  What better excuse than that to spend the day with my youngest?  We decided to take this opportunity to skip on over to Orlando and  enjoy the Florida sun at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Disney's Animal Kingdom Dino! We went on Expedition Everest three times, at her request, and I was thrilled.  I love that ride. Of course, the dinosaurs were happy to see us, too. Time for lunch at my favorite restaurant, Yak & Yeti.  The Honey Chicken is so yummy! Then we headed over to Africa to check out the animals on the Safari .   It was a perfect day and a great way to spend some special time with my baby girl.
