After all that crafting last week (and the cake fiasco), I needed the weekend to relax and catch up. I started reading A Game of Thrones last week. Can I just tell you, this is a big book! There are a lot of characters, so I'm having a hard time keeping up with the names and how they fit into everything. It probably would have helped had I know there was an appendix in the back describing all of this. Oh well. Live and learn. I also took some time to work on an afghan for a baby shower I have coming up this weekend. I'll post that later this week so you can see how beautiful it is. Baby yarn is so soft and cuddly, but it tangles easily. Plus, I learned the hard way before that fine yarn slips so be sure you weave your tails in securely. We also took some time out this weekend to go see a movie. Us and the rest of the world, apparently. Of course I am referring to The Avengers . We went to an early show, mostly because I hate crowds.
