So it's week two of my training for the runDisney Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-miler. It's been a good week because I now think I can do this. Next week I probably won't be saying that. I'm still full of questions, fears, and anxiety, but it's more controllable this week.
I was only able to run two days since last Thursday's post. Last week I ran for a total of 7.31 miles in three days. This week I ran two days for 6.81 miles. Sometimes life just getsmessy busy. I'll do better this week. Saturday, the "fam" and I are going to the Orlando area to run the Winterhaven Citrus Classic 5k at Legoland. We are excited to run through the park and check out all the Lego decor. Fun, huh?
After searching lots of training plans, I think I finally came up with one for me - with some moderation. I actually have 26 weeks to train and most programs are for 13 weeks. I'm ok with this. The extra time is just what I need. I still may adjust as I go along, but at least I now have a plan in place.
I may cut back the long runs on the duplicate weeks just to not overwork myself. We will see how it goes. Right now I feel pretty good, but I haven't really ran anything longer than 4.5 miles at this point. We're in uncharted territory here! Check back next Thursday to see how I'm doing.
