Or is that cake? I don't know for sure, but I thought this would be a good time to post this while we are out enjoying the practice round at the 2012 Master's Tournament. We were lucky enough to score some tickets and I will be sharing that with you when we return to Florida.
For now you will have to settle for this easy peasy pie I have to share with you. Remember all those strawberries? What better way to use them than to make a scrumptious pie!
I have made this pie with whole strawberries and with the sliced strawberries. The whole strawberries make a really pretty pie, but the sliced strawberries are easier for my kiddos to eat. Sometimes those strawberries get pretty big! However, it's really your choice. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Strawberry Pie
Ingredients
1 (8 inch) pie shell, baked2 1/2 quarts fresh strawberries
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup boiling water
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry flavored gelatin
1 -In a saucepan, mix together the sugar and corn starch; make sure to blend corn starch in completely. Add boiling water, and cook over medium heat until mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Add gelatin mix, and stir until smooth. Let mixture cool to room temperature.
2- Place strawberries in baked pie shells. If using whole strawberries, position berries with points facing up. Pour cooled gel mixture over strawberries - carefully - if you pour too quickly it will spill over the edges.
3- Refrigerate until set. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
