I really do have the best intentions. Life just gets in the way sometimes. I owe a follow-up on my last project I blogged about. I'm actually really happy with the results, just not the time to took to complete OR the insane amount of time to post here.
Remember when I posted this?
It was my inspiration for a project. My cousin recently had a baby, and I wanted to make something for her.
So, this is what I ended up with:
Cute, huh? I love the different colors. I just made up a pattern and placed it on the onesie to get the size right. Then I cut it out, ironed interfacing on - to stabilize - and then zigzagged around it.
But I didn't want to leave out the big sister, so it turned into two projects.
But did I stop there? NO! I decided to put some ruffles on the little pants I got. Didn't want the new baby to get cold while out visiting family for Turkey Day.
Cuteness overload!
Here are the two together and I got it put in the mail in time for Thanksgiving.
It was an adventure in applique, but I'm glad I at least tried it out. I may even do more in the future, who knows?
Until next time...happy crafting.
